Horse racing is it immoral? / cruel?

I'm of the opinion that horse racing should be banned, it is cruel. I'm not alone a lot of people think that, anyone agree?
 
Don't know enough about the sport to have a strong opinion, but why do you feel it is cruel? The horses look very healthy and well cared for, and they usually retire to a life of studding and high end pastures and ranches.

The way I see it is we find sentient beings, roaming around a field, find out that we can jump on their backs without them trying to kill us so we weld metal to their feet, sit on them and whip them to race around after each other. Cruel.

Just racing, I can see the value in owning a horse, taking care of it, feeding it grooming it, it's a good thing, if people take care of their animals then they can live happy lives. Racing them is just cruel though.
 
You ever see a featherlite racing horse trailer. Air conditioned with all the comforts a horse could need. Racing horse owners for the most part take care of the Horses very well for the most part . So whats your view on WAR and the murdering of women and children . You need to make an adjustment in your priorities.

Don't get me wrong I have strong opinions on those matters too, but today is the grand national and so this came to my mind.

As for horse trailers, It makes no difference if they are given a silk bed to sleep on if you beat them during the day.
