Horse question

ATOT is my google 😛

I passed up a couple of incredible buys this afternoon at an Amish auction. A couple of 1 year old mares, absolutely beautiful horses, went for under $200 each. I don't know my horse breeds, but 1/2 of their horses were big horses, and the other half were huge horses (i.e. Clydesdale big; some may have been 1/2 or full clydesdale)

Can work horses be used for riding??
That way if there's another auction in the near future, I'll be sure not to pass up such a good deal.

You bet! They are damn wide to straddle though, the big ones. I've rode belgians more than once bareback.

Darn darn darn darn! I knew I should have purchased them. Oh well, all wasn't lost on the afternoon...
Homemade Amish baked goods are yummy! (Apple pie and elderberry pie)

Ugghhhhhh! I did a bit of googling... The two I passed up were Belgians. My wife said to me that she was glad I didn't get the horses, "we don't have the money right now to buy horses." Then, my son told her the price - "are you kidding me??? Why didn't you buy them?"

Oh well. There'll be other auctions.
