Errrr, Noob, the only thing a 5900 can't totally slaughter a 9600 at is DX9, and DX9 games are still a tiny fraction of all games. No where near "most".

Also I don't have a wide screen monitor and am on record as stating I am not interested in dual graphic cards - so a thread like that wouldn't effect my buying decisions. But I guess for the few people who both have a wide screen monitor and want top of the line graphics - no matter the cost. That thread was major fud and sli has no issues with wide screen rendering. :roll:

Everything posted in Video is flamebait, you have a problem its the worthless video drivers from the useless company, you want a video card recomendation you better be prepared for a ATI vs nVidea debate centering around the issue of SM3 and SLI, you post a newsarticle about next gen specs it turns into an argument about the abilities of SLI vs. the potential abilities of AMR and an ATI vs. nVidea debate.

If I bashed the fact that sm3 is useless because even a tinyer(sp) fraction of games uses them, I'm sure you'd laugh and tell everyone to go back to playing doom1, because sm3 is the future, and you NEED it. But then if if I say the fx cards suck at DX9, you say DX9 is not important, because few games use it? All new games use DX9, and if you don't need it, then go back to playing doom 1, I'm sure the FX cards must be good at that.

It's too bad I wasn't around here to see how you defended your favorite company while it was getting it's @ss handed to them by the 9700/9800 cards.
