Wow ATI has a bunch of problems with their video cards, so does nVidea these are big companies they could care less about the issues with their cards as long as they keep making tons of money.

It is true! We must organize to make ATI fix these problems! Thank God I sold my X800XT PE, I could have had a lock up! I didn't pay $500 for that BS!

Sounds great the problem is a boycott is the only way to get to them and to organize that big of a boycott is a logistical nightmare. The issue here is that both ATI and nVidea could care less about the consumers if the dollars still flow, thats why we havn't seen some of the issues with 6800s fixed (although I comend nVidea for fixing the widescreen issue) and most likely will never see these problems fixed either.
EDIT: Fixed spelling

I am with you brother! I will boycott ATI until these problems are FIXED, and not with beta drivers either!

Sorry but if problems do exist they should be adressed, if these issues are widespread I'm pissed (but not surprised) that ATI hasn't dealt with these.

No KIDDING.

These aren't issues at all. This is like 3 people with specific issues with their machines.

If we look hard enough we can find ANY hardware that will have problems with the right set of drivers and/or hardware combinations.

NO!
Sort of like one guy with a Apple monitor, some relics using Windows 2000, and the off chance someone can actually look through those shutter glasses five minutes without throwing up and SLI, eh?
Do tell.

BTW- since this board LOVES to bash SLI goodness, I think I've got LOTS of time to research what hardware and games don't work with ATI cards?
We all NEED to know that right?

Rollo you are really out of your mind if you believe this is the same thing.

You are saying that Nvidia always produces stable drivers and cards? If you do you must not actually use your machine for real work where it needs to be stable and running for weeks at a time.

That's the last I am going to respond to your flamebait thread.

Shenanigans!
I say there are at LEAST as many people in those threads as there are ATers with Apple 30" monitors, or that use those nausea inducing shutter glasses.

The same thing as Apple WS and Shutter Glasses?
Yep- I'm saying you couldn't find 10 ATers with either.

What a flame thread this is. One organizes a bunch of problems form sites and combines them all into one to make it seem like ATI is a monstrosety. I have heard of so many 6800 GT problems in these forums and could link them all into one topic as well.

There will always be problems with drivers. You can't fix every single graphic setting with every single game. And since this has become a flame war, one can say that at least ATI releases drivers every month instead of every 4 months, leaving you screwed if you have an Nvidia card and even the next driver doesn't work. Another 4 months you wait...

This thread was intentionally made to start a flame war. I would have thought a diamond member would have been more mature then this.

Well he can't stand the fact that his precious company gets bash by other members of the forum. He has to make nVidia look better than ATI, he's payed to do it.

I know it's just ruthlessly ridiculous. He seems to have forgot about the "amazing" FX cards. The 5900 Ultra couldn't even outperform a 9600 Pro is most cases. No need to go any further with that.

Will this thread stick to Rollo like crazy glue or what?
