System runs like a champ on AC power. When unplugged, system comes to a halt. Best I can guess is that the CPU is dropping. Can't tell for certain. Here is what I can tell you for sure. Nvida's powermizer is set to Max Performance on both AC/DC, so I don't think it is the Vid card killing the performance. There are NO BIOS settings to change the power management of the laptop. Asus's Power4 Gear is set to the highest possible setting on DC, High Performance. Super Performance is only available on AC mode.
Here are my questions. Is there any software out there that would let me completely disable ALL power management of my laptop? I want it to be as fast as possible running on the battery. I don't care if I get 30 minutes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
One more thing, the Intel CPU ID program shows it running at 3.0GHz on both AC/DC. Please help!
