Weed is non-habit forming

Bullsh*t and I've been through enough rehab to prove it.

weed is a mild halucinagin, not a depressent, so it won't add to his depression (if he has a case of depression that is) and it was said earlier that pot is non habit forming.

Again, not true. If used as an escape from reality it only compounds depression and makes it works. And again, it certainly CAN be habit forming, especially phychologically. Rarely can be it be physically addicting, but I met someone in rehab who WAS going through physical withdrawal symptoms for it.

As much as I'm not trying to condone drug use, if doing it made your friend feel better even for just a few minutes by smoking up with him then good for you, but it'll make it all that much harder when he finally comes crashing down from his high for him to register (again) that his father just died.

BTW, sorry to hear he died

I have plenty of experience with weed (read above) and I'd say its a pretty accurate statement.

I can't say that I would ever describe coming down from a high as "crashing down"
you normaly crash from stimulants....

fair enough..."coming down" would be more accurate and I'll agree with that. I think the point still stands though.

I dunno, whenever something really really bad happens and I smoke too much, I feel much worse. If youre gonna smoke with him, just dont overdo it, or else you will get re-evaluation/paranoid high, and thats not where you want him to be right now.

Easy does it.

This thread was ok, but now it is turning into another pot-is-good pot-is-bad thread. That's all for this one.
