I recently bought the Hornettek Enterprise 4x External Hard Drive enclosure and even though the box does not say that is has an Auto Power Saving feature, the website of this product says it has this feature. Also the box looks a little different that the one shown in the manufacturer's website. The box of the one I bought says it supports up to 24TB of storage and does not mention an Auto Power Saving feature that powers down when the PC turns off and the picture shown of the box in the manufacturer's website says it supports up to 12TB of storage and shows an Auto Power Saving feature. Did I get a newer version that does not support his Auto Power Saving feature. I noticed that when I turn it off, the fan still spins and only the hard drives power down but the lights on the unit remain on. Does mine actually not support the Auto Power Saving feature (device turns off when PC turns off) or is their a firmware update for the unit that will add this feature if mine does not have it already? Also I find the fan on it too loud for movie watching even in the lowest setting and it's louder than my desktop PC and I'm wondering if the fan can easily be replaced with a quieter fan? I want a unit that has a quiet fan, supports at least 3 hard drives, and powers down when my PC powers down. I'm not sure if I should have just gone for the Asustor AS3104T NAS instead but this was much cheaper.
