Horn doesn't work?

My wife rear-ended me about 4 months ago and today we noticed that the horn in the car doesn't work. When I push on the steering wheel all I hear is a small clicking noise like it's trying to do something.

Is this something I can easily check out or maybe even fix?

It's a 2001 Cavalier...

Thanks.

Oh man...your own wife!!

I know you can get aftermarket horns. My cousin has some silly one that does the Dukes of Hazard sound.

It sounds like you are hearing the horn relay.

Find the horn and see if it has 12V when someone pushes the horn button.

You should always take care of safety concerns first when it comes to cars. Therefore, you should take your wife in and have her fixed.

Where should I be looking for the horn? Is there a diagram for my car that shows where it should be?

You can also do like I did one time. Take a wire, go from your positive battery terminal to the horn's wire terminal. If the horn beeps, then it's likely your relay (or possibly switch).

I actually had a horn rust to the point where it wouldn't work one time. Shot of WD40 got it working just fine again, tho!
