Horizontal Image Tearing Issue

I have a XL2370, which runs at 60hz, and I know there is going to be some image tearing. The weird thing is that there is no vertical image tearing (or very little), but the horizontal tearing is very very bad. Is it normal for there to be significantly more horizontal image tearing than vertical?

Humm. I for one have never seen horizontal tearing, but a quick Google search says you're not the first person in the world to experience this. I can't offer much help, but it doesn't hurt to start with the basics. Where are you seeing this tearing, and do you have v-sync enabled?

All of this is with vsync disabled. Sorry, I should be more clear on what exactly I mean. By "horizontal tearing" i mean the tearing that occurs when you move, say a window, only side-to-side quickly, and vertical tearing when you move it only up-and-down.

well make sure you have aero enabled and also check to see that you dont have vsync forced off in your video card control panel.
