Brace yourselves, four more "Transformers" films are rolling out.

Stephen Davis, president of Hasbro Studios, revealed that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to the company's plans for the franchise.

"You're going to see a new 'Transformers' movie coming from Hasbro and Paramount and Michael Bay and our other partners," he said during a panel at the MIPJunior conference in Cannes, France. "We decided that we wanted to plot out the next 10 years of the Transformers franchise, so we got together in a room over a three-month period of time...Similarly, we are doing the same in television and in digital. So stay tuned, 'Transformers' 5 is on its way, and 6 and 7 and 8."

Autobots roll-out: Hasbro confirms 4 more 'Transformers' films.

10 more years! 🙁

i'd rather watch another transformers movie than another marvel movie. the market is oversaturated with them. so far i've like the odd numbered transformer movies, so hopefully 5 continues with that trend. part 4 was okay but wahlberg was completely miscast. part 2 was just annoying.

The first two were more than enough, but as long as they can fill movie theaters with little kids and their dumb parents this train will never stop rolling.

They are total crap, no doubt. But, there is an audience. A willing and paying audience.

I hate them, but I am not forced to watch them, so it works out!

One of them was available at Amazon, compliments of Amazon Prime.

I think it was the 4th movie, Extinction something.

It still wasn't worth what I didn't pay.

With all the damn product placement, I should have received a check for $35 afterward.

transformers get exponentially worse with each iteration.

at least the marvel movies are passable at worst and otherwise pretty enjoyable

Teenage boys. Same people who pay to see Adam Sandler films.

No point in getting your panties in a twist over them. Just don't watch them. Plenty of good, smart movies out there. They just don't get mainstream attention. You just have to go digging through iTunes.

They need a new director. Bay has to go.

I enjoy the films. but the last 2 were terrible. it was hard to watch them.

I haven't seen the 4th, but the 3rd was enjoyable for what it was, same with the 1st. I was able to enjoy the 2nd but it paled in comparison to those it was sandwiched between.

That said, I have enjoyed the Marvel movies immensely, far far more than any single Transformers movie. Sure, super heroes may get old for some people, but frankly, I think there has never been a better superhero movie (pick one, any one), Marvel has really taken the concept and ran with it as a production studio, and is finding the right stories and characters to bring to life.

I also enjoy how all of the stories are interconnected in little ways and, in time, they are all becoming far more intwined. I am excited to continue to watch them as they slowly evolve into the penultimate and final Avengers movies.

I still haven't seen the latest round of the Avengers and feeder films, but I know I'll enjoy them. Just as I have enjoyed the Daredevil Netflix series and I am sure I'll enjoy the Jessica Jones and other Netflix-exclusive Marvel shows.

There has never been such a story universe in the film medium, and sure, it's superheroes and there have been an abundance of them even outside of Marvel Studios, but the unprecedented scope of the whole Hollywood and TV combination is astounding, and I am absolutely enthralled.

I'll be happy when it is over, so that it is not dragged on to the point of beating a dead horse (some may argue it has reached that point, I disagree), but until then, I will be excited for each entry and each new TV season and series that revolves around the overarching story.

Perhaps it is something I appreciate because I have dreams of helping to create a similar story (albeit non-superhero), and I enjoy the storytelling and escapism.

When even shay labeouf would not be in them anymore you know you jumped the shark. But rumor is they are trying to get him and Fox back.

I can watch a marvel movie as at least they differ enough in their story. The transformers movies are all the same. Decepticons bad; autobot good, bla bla bla... explosion... bla bla bla

don't worry destrekor, when the time comes that they should be over, they will reboot them just like they have done with spiderman, batman, xmen, and superman.

the best marvel movie imo is iron man 1. it was just fantastic.

no it isn't.

...unless you are using this post to proclaim that CGI, in general, is inferior to models.

IN that case you might be correct.

never has CGI been more believable, and better looking than 2001 A Space Odyssey.

Pacific Rim maybe is close, but, in general, film studios muck up on things like "gravity" and "physics" which makes the CGI look artificial.
