Well, Global warming is likely the reason why winters "like this" are rare. In the 80s, I believe we had 2 or 3 or 4 winters that were like this one.

People have short memories.
Been a long time since we've had one like this too. Snow, ice storm, several nights in the teens.

I must need to drive around the block a few more times.

It's been warm here, but when it's warm it just means that it snows. We got enough snow to shut down most US cities. AKA, a few inches. :p Business as usual here though.

No snow in texas :(. Hell, it's summer practically all year long.

AND...you're STILL in Tex-Ass...:whiste:

I tried to tell youse guys...the storm you are now getting is the one that dumped several inches of rain here in the PNW over the past few days.

Our NORMAL rainfall for the month of March is about 3.5 inches...we've had about 8 inches of rain so far this month...with more on the horizon. I think we can put the fears of a drought behind us for now. :p

Nah. Did that and it's still locked so I can't do any work. Guess I'm going to stalk you for a while.:p

Just pretend its a deadbeat who owes you money. I'm sure you have enough practice that you could crack that thing open in no time

I've evolved. Wit, charm and my awesome personality are the only tools I need to collect my $$.

And if that fails, well...you don't need to know the sordid details.

Well yesterday I thought I saw some sort of weird plant like thing growing on the ground where the snow should be. I must have been hallucinating or something because everything looked like its normal white today

No snow around my part of the UK at all, just a lot of rain and minimal flooding. In fact this weekend it got into the low 20s and was beautiful Saturday & Sunday, but I was pretty uncomfortable playing Rugby in that heat. So looks like we've finally hit Spring.

And we're back to our regularly scheduled winter program.

-18, -28 with windchill. Actually, it warmed up compared to this morning.

The plow actually passed on my street today, did not figure they were going to bother with only a few inches.

I was confused because the apartment parking lot was black the other morning when I looked out.

Thanks to Winter Storm Exterous, all is a beautiful winter white mess again :awe:

Ready to move somewhere warm, too bad those places don't pay as much :(

I've seriously gave it some thought, but cost of living and commute kills it for me. Of course there are smaller cities in the south too but the jobs are in the big cities, like Toronto.

I'll handle freezing for 5-10 minutes every day while I drive to/from work.

Quite possibly the worst drive into work I've experienced this year, perhaps ever. I left at 1:30pm, took me an hour to get in. None of the roads were ploughed. The road clearing has been quite bad this season but they completely dropped the ball on this storm.
