Hope for America...not really

I gained a whole lot of hope in humanity after seeing all the positive pub and support that Barack's inauguration got this week--as rarely do such positive events garner such attention--but then I lose it all and then some after seeing Paul Blart: Mall Cop as the #1 movie for TWO straight weeks.

WTF?

I don't see the correlation between a movie and hope for a country. The only thing that will return just a tiny bit of common sense to human race will unfortunately be an event of major death and/or destruction.

You know what would give me hope for America?
If you would shut the fuck up.

Same here. This thread is probably P&N cesspool potential, but anyway: It's interesting how the press is conveniently NOT mentioning how well over 150 MILLION was spent on Obama's inauguration, when they BLASTED Bush and the 'Pubs for spending 42 mil in "tough economic times".

It's annoying that the great unwashed/educated masses think that because a movie that less than half of the US population will even see, somehow relates to the "humanity" of the US.
That and I am grumpy.

While I think the amount of $$ spent on the inauguration was a slap in the face to Americans who are struggling to make in in this economy, remember...it was NOT government money that paid for most of it. (I'm sure some things were...crowd/traffic control, increased security, etc.)

The inaugural "circus" was paid for by "private" donations...(or so they keep insisting) 😀

As for "Paul Blart-Mall Cop," that movie looks pretty stupid. Made for mindless "sheeple" like Joe the Plumber. 😉

..don't forget the over 600 private jets and other aircraft that hauled in the liberal elite that showed up for the inaug. wallow.
