We have a Hooters restaurant opening up in a local city in about 14 weeks. I was thinking about getting a P-T job there. I am somehow affiliated with a church who would definately say it is a "no no" to work there. However, I think I can make mucho money there. Anyone have any thoughts on to how much they make????

Everytime a female here at OT posts a thread with "hooters" in the title, it's always about owls and not hooters. 🙁
You sound attractive. Pics would be nice, but you knew everyone would say that. Hopefully, you are young, as in under 25. Hooters hires young, nubile petite things. If you have a great body but are close to 30, forget it, they'll never hire you.
AFA money goes, the waitresses there do ok down here where I live. However, half the time the guys are so bombed that they either forget to tip or they leave a really chintzy tip b/c they drank all their money.
BTW, what does Mr. Fett think of you working at Hooters? If you were my GF/wife, it'd be a cold day in hell b4 I let you work there.

If you can work the lunch time shifts I would think you'd DEFINTIELY make more on tips than at a similarly priced restaurant. We go to Hooters every now and then at lunch and it's almost always 95% men in there at that time. Granted, it's usually 60-70%+ men when you go in there at any time. But lunch time should bring out the guys in absolute droves as a lot of guys would never suggest going to Hooters with their wives, so lunch is their only time to go with their male friends. Add to the equation the fact that men usually tip better than women on average (I don't have hard stats readily available, but I've seen and heard it mentioned several times) and you've got what looks to be a better than average place for tips.

He is 100% correct. Lunchtime at HOOTERS is where the money is at. 99% of all wives and GFs (mine included) are too insecure to allow their man to go to Hooters...sheesh, like anything's going to happen w/one of the girls anyway. Ya'shuuuuuure
At night all you will get are college frat boys. No money, octopus disease (eight hands and hey are all over your booty!) and lousy tippers. Lunch is where it's at.
AFA the trust thing goes, if you and your man have it worked out, I'm glad for you. Speaking from experience, as someone who dated a FINE waitress from a nightclub, i can tell you that it's nothing but headache. But then again, this was a place that the employees got out at four in the morning, Hooters prolly closes around midnight or so. Whatever. Good luck to you, O'Fine Girl. 🙂

A friend of my wife once lectured her about how amazed she was that she (my wife) "allowed" me to go to Hooters. Her response pretty much sums up why we have remained married for 17 years and why I knew she was the one for me. She told her friend that I am an adult and it is not her place to "allow" me to do anything. Further Hooters is nothing more than a sports bar with attractive women in hot pants and T shirts serving beer and chicken wings and she had no problem with me going there with some friends to watch some football and have a few beers. We never did figure out exactly what it was her friend thought went on in a Hooters. Likewise for my wife she is an adult and as such it is not up to me to determine what she is allowed to do. Part of the trust we have is based on the idea that we have never given each other any reason to not trust one another in our decisions.

Push-Up Bras work wonders. Most 20-somethings wouldn't know the diff b/t a B and a C cup if they got smacked in the face with the um, evidence. My second job is located right across from a Hooters. I chat w/the girls while on break. Half of them are A-cuppy babies. But, they are 21 years old, 5'1 to 5'4 and all under 120 pounds. That's why they got hired.

My buddies and I go a lot. About once a week after work. If the waitress is friendly with us, talks to us, jokes with us, we typically leave like $75 on a $60 tab. $15-$25 tip is common for us. The waitress doesn't have to be slutty or flirty at all. She doesn't have to be the prettiest or cutest or sexiest girl around either. Just friendly and laugh at our corny nerdy jokes.
Hooters is a place where you can flirt with the staff and not get thrown out for sexual harassment.
