Congrats Nik. Last month I finally replaced my fuzzy dying 19" crt with a dell 2005fpw. OMG what difference.
RossMan FTW.

Just placed an order for the 2405 after I saw this thread. It reminded me that I wanted to see if they had a price drop, and it went from $999 to $849. Hopefully it gets here this week.😀

Sad, that's a crappy widescreen resolution.

1920x1200 > *

it's the same ratio

So? 1920x1200 is a better resolution. And you can fit 1080 HD content on it.

oh. i was focusing on the widescreen part like it was some weird combination. i see you mean it's just a crappy resolution in general.

I just got an LCD yesterday too. Got a Proview 19" 1440x900 to replace a washed-out burned-in 20" hp P1120 CRT. It was cheap ($260), but it's responsive, has great black levels, and best of all No Dead(stuck on) Pixels. I still aren't used to just how small it is compared to the monster that used to sit here. I want a 2407fpw now 😀

2560x1600 > 1920x1200

Although you're right about it being better than lesser wide screen resolutions. Anything less than WUXGA is gonna be dissapointing because it can't do 1080p.

Sad, my 19" LCD monitor has more res than yours... (1280X1024)

You're retarded.

1440x900 > you

Sorry no, Intelligence>Nik

1280X1024 IS higher resolution than 1440X900

More resolution=more pixels, no?

He's right.
1280*1024 = 1,310,720 pixels
1440*900 = 1,296,000 pixels

Widescreen is still more better then that crappy 5:4 resolution, though 😛

If it's not a Dell, you fail.

Have you ever had a Viewsonic?

Viewsonic>Dell

You sir, fail.

QFT

Compared my viewsonic VX2025wm 20.1" with the dell 2005fpw, my viewsonic had a much better picture. Viewsonic FTW

I don't think he was arguing that you were wrong about the total number of pixels- just reminding us all that you are retarded. I agree with Nik on this point.
