I had a cousin that went there for their honeymoon. they had a really good time. its a 'magical' place. But they have inner kids that really had to get out. It was funny watching some of the movies (no not those kinds, that's so wrong! ;))

I went to Negril in Jamaica. I didn't want to leave. BTW... it was a Sandals Resort.

ok... a travel agent was suggesting this..

all inclusive 7 days trip to Riu Yucatan, Playacar, Mexico.
includes airfare from philly.
5 star hotel.

for two people... he quoted 1512.20. with optional 49.00/person travel insurance.

everything looks nice... except that it has two double bed instead of one king size or queen size.

what gives? it's a honeymoon. not a family trip. :(

besides that nice price for nice location. about 45 miles south of cancun.

i'm waiting to hear if he's got some deals out in usvi.

Okay, here's some more info on our trip to St Thomas/St John:

We stayed at the Doubletree Sapphire Beach Resort. Had a nice place right on the beach with balcony, kitchen, etc. Pretty nice beach, snorkle equip, sailing, dive lessons all right there. Restaurant and bar are pretty good. You'll have to call for rates.

Chartered a big-ass sailboat for a day trip to St John. It was out of the marina right there at the hotel. The crew does all the sailing, feeds you frozen drinks all day long, doles out the snorkel gear at the spots you anchor in (we hit 3 different ones) and makes a huge hot lunch buffet....all for a flat rate up front. It rocked.

Make sure you venture down the road to a place called Duffy's Love Shack Excellent local joint for rum-based foo-foo drinks. Make sure you try the "Bushwhacker"...just don't be surprised if you're face-down after 3 of them. :D

Good general info on St Thomas

What else? Lemme know.

The absolute best vacation we ever had was this past summer: 10 days at the Four Seasons Resort on Maui. Between the beauty of Maui, the luxury of the hotel, and the impeccable service of the staff, the place is simply heaven on earth. They had a decent semi-all-inclusive rate of I think $350 for room, rental car, and breakfast. Not sure what they have right now--I hear occupancy rates are way down in Hawaii and you may be able to score a good deal. Off topic but interesting, we were surprised at the number of celebrities we saw there. One day we saw Tyra Banks at breakfast, Clint Eastwood while playing Nintendo in the game room, Chris Weber while shooting pool, and Rosalind Chao (Keiko O'Brien on STTNG) out by the kiddie pool.

Hey, I'm thinking.....if you get your 600 guests to chip in $10 apiece for the honeymoon, you could do the "Maui No Ka Oi" package which is 7 nights in an oceanfront suite and a Jeep Wrangler. :)

We went to Kauai, Hawaii. This is the least touristy of the islands and is the garden isle... Very nice resorts, snorkeling, scuba diving, beaches, canooing, etc... We spent a week there and had a blast, no need to go to a different isle either.

Yeah baby!!!!!!
