Since when did college sports and pro sports care if you smoke herb?

for as long as i can remember. they did spot testing of people in high school. IF they suspected you of smoking pot or doing steroids you had to take a test or you were kicked off the team.

Most schools have zero tolerance policy. How smart is this guy, being given three chances yet still getting kicked off the team.

You think any BCS conference schools actually have and enforce a zero tolerance policy? Ha! 🙄:sneaky:🙄:whiste::whiste:

I would think twice before drafting any dopehead player that was stupid enough to get busted not once, not twice, but three times. He knows he's going to get tested, and yet still gets busted three times and kicked off the team. That tells you he has problems a lot more serious than being a dopehead, he's an idiot.

This. You gotta be a fucking moron to continue to do it.

Are you saying that by failing the drug test, he failed an IQ test? 😀

He's a lock for the Bengals.

Personally I don't know why sports sanctioning bodies even test for MJ. I see the point of testing for performance enhancing drugs and drugs which, while not created for that purpose, could enhance performance on the field (e.g., cocaine). Marijuana is not going to make any athlete faster, stronger, or more likely to quickly and effectively learn a playbook. To the extent it has any effect on athleticism (and any such effect is minimal), it is a negative effect. Really, who gives a shit?

Now, all of that being said, I find it hard to understand elite athletes who, like the HB, know full well that smoking weed could have a catastrophic effect on their careers, and do it anyway. That suggests a lack of discipline which would concern me somewhat if I were a coach or team manager.

Wonder if the Patriots can pick him up in the 6th round or something. The Pats picked up Aaron Hernandez in the 4th round and he was a weed lover too and that turned out great.
