I was going to the bank at 2:00PM today. In a hurry as usual, the beep diminishes as I'm
blasting by and wtf. I go back and heres someones card still in the slot. No one is around.
So I slip it in my pocket. HEY! I can go sell gas at half price for cash. Wrong, dang it,
So I Wait five minuets and no one comes back looking. After my transaction, I turn it over to the teller. I did tease her a bit about it because she was cute.

Never had anyone steal my credit, couldn't do it to anyone else.

Thats my good scout story..........

If you had left it there, the ATM would have eventually taken it back. Not sure what the delay is, but it isn't too long.

I went to a Drive Thru ATM at the BofA, the guy infront of me drove off and when I pulled up his card was still in the machine. The guy was long gone by the time I got there, so I just put the card in an Deposit Envelope and went inside the bank and gave it to the manager.

tellers see so many credit cards and atm cards and money they could care less if they see another one. No reason for the teller to use it ^^

ON BEHALF OF THAT CARD'S OWNER THANK YOU SO MUCH

I had the same thing happen to me, except I was the one who left the card, some Saint returned it to the bank, I was so relieved. You are a true hero to someone out there, my friend.

I am confused. Unless you have the pin# how can the card be used? I have my maybe goodwill story too. Stopped at a casino in Booneville, Mo and had to go tothe john. Went in an open stall and there in plain site was a checkbook someone had left on top of the TP holder. Opened it to see if there were checks or not, etc and saw the balance shown in the records. He had over $101,000 in checking. I about had a caniption. There were no checks, but I did not think to see if the last recorded check was not the same as the last number of a checkbook. I don't know if there were some that were taken or not. I gave it to one of the floor managers.
Amazed me that someone would be that careless if they had over 100G's in account and in that anyone would hold that much. Even earning 1% that would be giving away over $80 a month.

Next time leave it in the slot. The ATM will eat it after 30 seconds. I had it happen to me once. I waited too long to grab my card, and it was gone.

Some ATM cards double as debit cards. My bank you have the option of either a normal ATM card or a Visa Check Card...

I've pulled cards on two seperate occasions, both times at grocery stores. In one case, the machine was beeping for over ten minutes so I finally pulled the card and took it to the store manager, in the other case I saw the person that left it and chased them down to give it to them. Leaving it and walking off can be a bad idea, what if the next person that comes along isn't as honest as you are? I recall a thread in ATOT where a person left their card and found out some kid had withdrawn $100.00 or more before they remembered and went back for it.

What else can you do besides turn it in? I dunno about you guys but man sex in prison isnt worth a couple hundred bucks.... Come to think of it, its not worth any money.....
