Well, at least those from Honda. I think the RSX and the S2000 look good, and everything else ranges from boring to cover your eyes ugly (*cough* Element *cough*).

The element is drop dead gorgeous next to the Scion xB.

BARFFFF.

I like the IMAS...looks like something out of the new 'Batman' cartoons. Anyone else notice that the ASM/Kiwami's GPS uses satellite imagery akin to what's used in EarthViewer?? That would be SWEET to have in urban areas...being able to see individual buildings and such.

As a Honda fanboy who's had the opportunity to sit in a Scion xA and xB...I must say the Scion whups the Element's fugly rear end!!! :Q I love the interior of the xB, and of course it looks more masculine on the outside and doesn't have any fugly plasticky cladding. Gotta love the available Pioneer sound with the subs too.

In regards to the second pic, why do so many alternate fuel based car designers have this seemingly instinctive urge to design cars with a hideous fender covering the rear wheel well? If they stopped trying to make radical departures from the normal car deisngs and stuck to tried and true market successes perhaps hybrids would be taken more seriously

I was going to post the same. Why make hybrids ugly?

They lose money on hybrids. Less sales means less money lost, and they can point to the low sales and say "See? People don't want hybrids. Let's forget about it and give more money to Enron".
