yeah, i test drive a pilot this afternoon. it feels so light. just like the rendezvous except its cheaper by 8K bux. the only downside i see is there is not enough leg room on the 3rd row seat. Try it.
 
i test drove it too. verrry nice 🙂 it's got some nice amenities too. i'd get it, cept i got that money thing holding me back...

A little too plain in styling imo

that's one of the things i like about it, no fancy curves on the side, no bulging front, etc. its simple, yet dependable. it provides 4WD when needed. just my .02 anyway.

Yup, the MDX and RX300 look like overstyled spaceships. I much prefer the Pilot and Highlander. Cheaper, more handsome styling, with basically the same features.

Not to mention the Pilot is a bargain compared to the MDX esp considering it's larger payload capacity. I think it's one of a few SUV's which can hold an 8'x4' flat on the floor.

That's what I think about every Honda.. I can't help it... they're just WAY too bland.

Nice! You have an 01? I don't think they make that color any more. They screwed the 02 owners with a lame Havasu Blue replacement color. The 03 owners got it all, lots of new options and more colors.

It is daddy's ride! Yes it is an 01 in that special color (though I think that color was available on the Odyssey as well?) My dad has been thinking about replacing it with either an '03 MDX or the new Volvo SUV. I told him to get a Touareg but he didn't wanna hear it!!!

That is a nice color. I probably would have gotten it over my black if they offered it. The 03 MDX is sweet. 260HP, skid control, new transmission, sportier suspension, brake by wire, better console, etc. etc. Plus you can get it at a discount!! Dealers are discounting MDXs now. I read somewhere that someone got an 03 MDX $300 below dealer invoice because the dealership they went to needed to sell a bunch of MDXs in the next 2 months to meet their yearly quota.

I've read conflicting stories on the XC90. I guess you'll really have to drive it yourself to make a judgement. Someone wrote that when they were test driving it, pieces of the dash started falling off.

I would definitely get the VW if it had 7 seats. That is the only reason why we got the MDX. The 3rd row of seats is almost always being used in my car.

The Pilot is nice but it wasn't out when I got my MDX and the wait list was like 4 months.
