Honda has axed the NSX

Honda just showed its latest updated concept on January 15th in Detroit.

It's slated for a 2015 debut.
 
Those wheels on the URL there are supposedly carbon. Kinda doubt they make their way to the final iteration, who knows. NSX Prime had a member or two at the showing in Detroit and pointed it out.
 
Been a long time since Honda has made an affordable, sporty car. The Civic SI notwithstanding, as it's still a Civic. The S2000 was like an MX5 with balls. Unfortunately, this doesn't look like it. Emphasis on the affordable part.
 
I read the title, gasped, and then saw the date in the article. You're here in my city, I will find you, and make you pay.

3.4L V8 VTEC goodness producing 500hp!!

This was intended as the NSX replacement, but now because of "poor economic conditions" they canned it and are using it only for the SuperGT racing competitions. Sucks that the new NSX will be made in Ohio and will be a hyprid... 🙄
 
I think by the time this does get released it will be slower and more expensive than other cars it was competing against. The hybrid system while nice on paper will probably be more complicated and reviewers will state that honda should have done the Telsa approach or will compare this to a GTR/ZR1/911 money with less performance.
 
I still say the NSX concept is the sexiest looking car outside of an Aventador. inside of an Aventador, it's too dark to read.😕

That is an absolutely awful front end. Those headlights....dear God.

Looks good, up until it looks like a few pregnant hippos gave birth on that front end.
