Honda does Truck: Honda introduces Ridgeline to the world...

I think it looks great and would work great... as an El Camino replacement... 🙂 If you want a real truck, stick with the F150 or a Silverado.

the wall of the bed is way to high . . . most pickups you can just reach over from the side and grab what you want, not with this. major design flaw, imo. Also, all the storage under the bed . . . . why didn't they just lower the bed? easier to get stuff in and out. I don't think they understand exactly whats going on with a truck, yet. I don't like it.

wow I never thought I'd see the day someone would create an Avalanche-wannabe.

BTW, their Honda Pilot is ugly too.

No more ugly than a Chevy Avalanche, and I see those everywhere.

People say the same thing about the 04-05 F150, yet Ford still sold 912,000 of them. (High walls) I don't think people are going to not buy the truck just becaue of that.

At 4552lbs, this beast is going to be SLOW.

Also:

Body Type - Integrated Closed-Box Frame with Unitbody Construction
Body Construction - Boxed Ladder Frame with Unitbody

😕

Hey look, it's a Pilot with no 3rd row and an ugly body.

Honda, despite having a great engine in that 3.5L V6, needs a V8 if they want to play with the Pickup Boys. 😛

I don't think that there is really any comparison of the bed walls on the F-150 to those of the Ridgeline. The ridgeline's walls are abnormally tall for its size and slope upwards towards the bed (WTF?).

They only explanation is for rigidity due to it being a unibody design...otherwise, the walls would be lower

That's only 200 more pounds of pork than an Odyssey. Slow for a car, yes. Slow for a truck/van, no.

But it's also 800lbs more than it's closest competitor - the Tacoma.

A Tacoma/Frontier/Dakota would kill it badly in performance. Hell, even the Tacoma can rip 0-60 in about 7.2 seconds with the V6 and a 5-speed auto.
