honda aims the accord at the midsized car market of: malibu? fusion? camry, altima, etc.
and the camry & accord DOMINATE that class.
please dont bring up vehicles that do not compete with Honda cars.
cr-v: wins the compact suv market
element: doesn't win (i think?) but a good accompaniment to the cr-v in the compact suv market
pilot: wins comparison tests with other mid/largeSUVs according to Car and Driver + Motor Trend
ridgeline: truck of the year, in a category that japanese manufacturers have no real knowledge of (they dont drive pick ups in Japan and much of Asia) Only a truck to those who have NO clue as to what a truck actually is. (hint, its not a paltry car platform.)
accord: wins midsized family car market, car and driver 10 best winner for 10+ years WRONG. Current and soon-to-be released Milan and Fusion DECIMATE this car.
civic: wins compact car market. WRONG. Ford Focus is BY FAR a better deal and better performance than a civic.
fit: recently introducedin 06/07, entered into car and driver 10 Best list along with accord in 1 year, in 2008.
all this + reliability, i'm not sure what u guys are asking for, excitement? winning awards and being a top seller year after year sounds pretty great to me.
boring is relative. i think having my car break down is boring. i think having no warranty on my GM and ford (they still went, along with GM and Chrysler to beg for money didn't they) is boring when they were on the brink of going bankrupt. i think knowing that the maker of my car even came close to dying in their own domestic country is boring...
