Homus/humus, good or bad?

also, it is easy to make hummus at home and you don't even need to use olive oil. take 1 can of garbanzo beans, 1/4 cup tahini, 1/4 cup lemon juice, add some salt and red pepper if you like.....puree in food processor.

Seeing as how I've never bought tahini before. Should I buy hulled or unhulled tahini to make hummus?

The making process of Hummus is considered by many a work of art; the best places where I had Hummus have earned national acclaim for taste and texture.

I love hummus. We have a very big middle eastern population here in Metro Detroit. You can find some really good ones that have been americanized like Steve's Backroom Jalapeño Hummus.....mmmmm.

not sure, the stuff I use comes in a jar


Hulled tastes better, but unhulled has more vitamins and minerals. I prefer the hulled as I'm using tahini for taste, not as a nutrition source.
