Homeworld remastered

So I've been playing it since picking it up on a steam sale. It is pretty awesome that this game came out in the 1990's/early 2000's when the fastest processor was like a Pentium III. The movement physics and gameplay holds up reply well.

Not sure how the remastering job was done. It seems like they simply upped the resolution to modern levels.

Any word on Homeworld 3?
 
The remaster was indeed mostly a visual/audio upgrade, gameplay wise the biggest difference is that HW1 plays like HW2. :\
Yes I'm one of those who's waiting for the incoming patch to fix formations and whatnot, it should be out soon...

On Homeworld 3 no official news, but I'm sure they are at least planning it after both the remastered and Deserts of Kharak decent debut.

As long as they can keep making money either a sequel or a totally different space themed game should come in a few years.
