The only thing that was flawed in it was the concentration. The dilution of many homeopathic remedies exceeds the dilation limit. i.e. those two drops of beer - then shake, then dump out all but a drop or two, add more water, shake, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat... The first time, it's 1 part in 1000, then 1 part in 1,000,000, then one part in a billion, then one part in a trillion. The homeopathic process takes this to 30 times; resulting in a concentration of 1 part in (10^3)^30. i.e. if there were 1 atom, it would be on the order of 1 part in 10^25.
