What do you guys use? I need to up my calorie intake over a fairly short window.

Today I made:

2 scoops Whey
1 cup 2% milk
1 cup chocolate ice cream
1/2 cup oatmeal
2tbsp EVOO

totaling 1015 calories, 43.4g fat, 57.6g carbs and 69.6g protein.

I know if I need to change the macros I can easily drop the ice cream and add eggs and more EVOO. I was going to add PB and/or a banana but I didn't want to get too crazy on day one.

This. Add yogurt and like 2/3 tablespoons of PB. You can make PB & J by adding strawberries. You can make Strawberry Shortcake by using whey plus a banana plus like a half stack of cinnamon graham crackers....Add like 2 bananas to every shake you make...

I agree with dropping the ice cream, that's not necessary nor very beneficial. I also agree with marmasatt's idea of Yogurt and pb, and would suggest frozen strawberries or other frozen fruit to make a great tasting cold shake. Costco is a great resource for these.

In general, stick to your theme of making it yourself and not using processed foods with additives, like most ice cream, and even go with natural peanut butter for that matter. All this sounds awesome right now!

I've got 2 jars of natural peanut butter that I planned no using too. Just playing around to see what I like. Really yogurt has about the same macros as ice cream and wont add as much flavor. I think this next go around I'll cut out the ice cream and see how it taste, worst case I'll cut it in half... The calories really don't bother me much, eating 5000 calories in 4-6 hours is rough at best.

That sounds liek the basis of a good desert.

Some people have reported Extra Virgin Olive Oil working pretty well.

Either just taking a spoon-full (about 120 kcal) a couple times a day or mixing it in with their shakes.

That's what he is saying by EVOO. You don't watch much Rachel Ray on the food network do you? That's all she and many others ever say when referring to extra virgin olive oil :D
