I dont really ever drink coffee\tea\pop\soda\etc and I normally function all day just fine. However, sometimes I need a little pick me up in the afternoon. A co-worker recently went to a sporting event and there was an energy shot company handing out samples. He grabbed a half dozen 2 oz bottles of Worx Energy shots and didnt like them and gave me the rest. Over the past few weeks Ive pulled out a bottle every once and awhile and they have been effective.
Well now Im out and was looking into picking some more of these or similar type shots up for the future and it seems that they are pretty much ~$2 each which I feel may be a bit steep. I searched around for homemade recipes however most of what Ive found have been like full on drinks not little 2oz servings.
I looked through the ingredients on the bottles it had and its things like caffeine, taurine, various vitamins. I know you can get most of these things in powder form and was wondering about making my own and getting some small food grade containers. My biggest thing is I dont need them all the time so I want something I can make a batch one day and then leave the containers in my desk or refrigerator for the 2+ weeks it may take me to go through them. Just wondering if anyone has experience with anything like this or can at lease comment on the shelf life of something like this.
The containers I was looking at:
