The secret to good chili: NEVER use beans!! They're filler, they add nothing that ground up cardboard couldn't add. If the recipe calle for a pound of beans substitute an extra pound of meat instead. Or add extra peppers or onions or spices. Add something that makes the chili better. Beans only increase the volume.

That's for dinner tonight!
Eat it with the Fritos Scoop chips and some fresh shredding cheese on top. DELICOUS!

I add lots of beer. And I sometimes actually like adding beans because it thickens up the chili nicely.

Brown sugar is great in chili. It adds flavor and cuts some of the pepper heat, allowing you to use even more peppers for better taste. Some sort or alcohol is good too. Beer, bourbon or even tequila work nicely.

Yep, thats one of the ingredients in my chilli :D

Other then that, I use mixed types of beans, sausage, hamburger, jalapeños, red peppers, onions, green peppers, chives, and a bunch of other random ingredients.

Actually, I like to add some finely shredded raw carrots if I need to add sweetness. They cook down to nothing and add maybe a little nutrients.

Actually just regular white granulated sugar. It really brings out the taste in the tomatoes. It makes a perfect combination of spicy and sweet.

Habanera Peppers are rated at 100,000 to 350,000 Scoville units

This stuff is 45x stronger than the STRONGEST Habanero...

Nutrients? Nutrients?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! You're not quite grasping the concept of chili, it's supposed to bad for you. It's got to be spicy and greasy and able to remove rust from iron from 50 yards away. Carrots don't belong in chili. Bean sprouts don't belong in chili. Tofu doesn't belong in chili. Chili should contain no nutrients of any kind except for dead animal flesh, peppers, onions and tomatoes.

But that is not really a pepper though. I belive the Haganero is the hottest you can get off a plant.
