First day you move into your new place after spending your $3000 savings, your apartment complex burns to the ground. Hadn't had time to get new insurance. And everything you owned was in there. Pwned?

Not everyone can do well in school. Some people are born stupid, but they still have a right to life, and sh!t happens. Don't forget racism. That's a big issue with scholarships. My friend who happens to be half african half mexican maintained 3.8+ her whole highschool career but works for $7.35 washing dishes paying her way through college.

Yeah, of the millions of homeless people in this nation, most of them are hurricane exacuees who had their new apartment burned down after they moved.

Wait, let's take it a step further! Then what if SPACE ALIENS come down and ZAP your 2nd new apartment to the ground! OH NOES!!!! What will we do?!?!? Gasp!
<end sarcasm>

Most people who are homeless got there out of mistakes early in their life. They dropped out of school when they could have stayed in. They used drugs. They didn't care about anything or anyone. The vast majority of homeless people are at fault. Some are just victims of really bad luck. But the vast majority need to blame themselves.
