I wonder why homeless people dont have family somewhere they can stay with. The truth is many people are homeless because they are not very nice people. Many of them have had problems with alcohol or drugs and have robbed everyone they know. There is a reason why many people are homeless. Well if you still feel bad about it, you can always donate some money to the United Way and hope they can help to take care of the homeless.

Mental defectives don't necessarily come off as lame, some of the more successful exhibit all the traits of sociopathy, a whole different kind of defect.

Maybe Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" would be more appropriate...

You're just another self-aggrandizing twit with a keyboard and an empty life. If you weren't so intellectually flaccid, it would be more than obvious that singing the blues over the misfortunes of others is a fool?s pastime. Instead of railing against a perfect stranger because he refuses to ?feel your pain?, why don?t stop sitting on your brain and find someone who needs help?

Anyway, go fock yourself, you whiny bitch.

Not everyone has surviving family or family that will accept them anymore (for various reasons). Others simply don't have family or friends where they happen to be. The homeless can range from teenagers to senior citizens. To just make a blanket statement that, "because they are not very nice people", is completely wrong. Sure there are bad apples just like anywhere, but some of the nicest people I have known were homeless. I still see some of the people I met over the years from time to time and they are as friendly as ever.
Most of the real pricks don't stick around and just move onto the next town for handouts.

Spare me. You and the hyper-sensitive butt-boy crowd start up the name-calling/holier than thou CRAP, and NOW you want to wax demure? If you're so offended go whine it up in FI so a mod can tell you how silly you are.

Yeah, and you can go fock yourself too. How about that, "loverboy?"

There's stepping over the line and then there's jumping over it. You've taken one giant leap. Take a couple of weeks off to cool down.

You're a serious whack-job, dude. You should've kept the personal stuff to yourself if you can't take it in return. I'll post when and where I want, and there's NOTHING you can do about it, dumbass crybaby.

Maybe not him but there is something I can and have done about it. See you in two weeks!

I say that it isn't. If we don't pay for them, they'll learn to get off their ass and do something. Jump in a lake or something and sew up your clothes and grab a McD job. Build
your way up. There is no reason for homelessness other than laziness. They go to the shelters and get free food and lodging and it doesn't motivate them to do something.

My opinion, what's yours? If you vote, please post with your full opinion and reasons.

A lot of people are just a pay check away from being homeless and in today's world it doesn't take much. I just saw a local news cast on a homeless person, he had a good job, nice house in the burbs, and a wife & child. His wife divorced him and it was one of those nasty divorces, then to compound his problem he lost his job and things started to spiral down from there. When he went to look for a job and put an application in, the people would say to him "We'll give you call to let you know if your hired", well he made a good point how do you call a homeless person? Plus when you walk in for an interview your clothes aren't in tip top shape which is another negative. Granted there might be some who are just to lazy to find a job, but I would say the majority homeless people are down in their luck and are homeless not by choice. It's specially tough for them around the Holidays, so do what you can to help them out anyway you can.
