As a previous poster mentioned, it seemed more worthwhile in the beginning to insert Brody into public office to undermine any Administrations policies and like Nazir said "It's better to kill the idea then the man".

I think the acting was great, but the finale was very MEH.

I'm assuming
Walker took the memory card, but I wonder where it went.

SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE FINALE

- and I don't know how to do that fancy stuff where you black out the text until it's moused- over -

was anyone else actually hoping that the vest went off? I was thinking season 2 could be about Carrie getting back into the agency, since she was right about the whole thing - and them going after Abu Nazir

Still enjoyed it

Yeah, his daughter was getting progressively more annoying. Was hoping for an "I promise" ... BOOM!

Killing off Walker made sense, though the method was meh

Really liked the Carrie ending!

I have never been so freaked out watching any tv show, when he was about to go boom, holy shit that's some intense acting

Was hoping he went boom, mostly because I knew it wouldn't happen and like rooting for the impossible. Was this renewed already? Better be a season 2.

So, I'm taking it that in season 2 Carrie is going to be some sort of free lance anti-terrorist super hero using her manic skills to fight behind the scenes to keep America untouched by terrorism? And, she'll be funded in this fight by ????? against her arch nemesis and fuck buddy Brody?

I would say the writers are going to be challenged to keep the plot line from going right into the crapper.

I was hoping for the same thing. I loved this season except for the finale. Im afraid season 2 will be boring.

If the season ended the way a lot of people here hoped, then a second season would be very unnecessary IMO. Would have made more sense to spread it out over two seasons and end it that way.

So if Nazir succeeded in assassinating the US Vice President season 2 would be unnecessary? That's ridiculous, the plot lines for season two would be wide open. The pathetic way it ended with a whimper rather than a bang is what makes season 2 unnecessary. Walker is dead, Brody is wavering, Carrie is on the outs with nobody knowing how right she was and Nazir seems willing to bide his time and hope Brody can work from the inside. That's a terrible place from which to approach season 2. Now compare to where the show would be if the vest went off. A super-terrorist assassinates the US Vice President and remains at large, there's a mole in the government helping him and Carrie/Saul are proven correct and get a national mandate to pursue terrorism through any means necessary. That's a much stronger set-up.

Just like the real 911, after the big event happens, it's just a bunch of bureaucratic finger pointing and little suspense. The most exciting part of the show was the build up which happened to fast. If Nazir won, then he accomplished what he set out to do and any further action against him would make him a martyr which IMO is nothing exciting.

im not reading shit in this thread yet because i have 3 episodes left, but man this show is amazing. really awesome show so far. will chime in when i'm done.

Tell that to 24 which made taking out Air Force One, the attempt and assassination of a former president and government officials an amazing setup for the show.
