There was a movie or an episode of some TV show that was JUST LIKE this show. Why? In it, an American POW is forced to kill his friend with a blunt object. Afterwards, he is rescued by friendly forces and spends his time in the USA trying to hide the fact that he killed his friend.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't remember the title.

Old plot. Manchurian candidate was like that but he strangled the kid.

Sunday's preview looks great. More people need to watch this show. I love character driven series so this is perfect. Damian Lewis has the right eyes for his role. It gets me. Claire Danes is amazing too. The sexual advance she made in the first episode really made it clear how off-hinge she is but it really makes the show that much more intense.

WATCH THE SHOW PEOPLE

I am, for now, sticking with it. However, enough with the prison flashbacks already; we get it. Lewis is doing a fine job, but I doubt he'll ever top the work he did in Band of Brothers. Quite possibly the best series ever on TV.

we need a spoiler alert tag in the thread title!

So much great stuff! Lots of inaccuracies though. Looks like he has been meritoriously promoted to Gunny but he keeps getting listed as Sgt. Also, why has no one yelled at him about a haircut yet? Being a POW for 8 years is no excuse!
I did like the tri-color desert camo in the flashback.

It's a TV show. All the computer geeks were jumping on Jack Bauer for reprogramming an SD card to explode. You kinda got to just live with these issues.

I'm still having a hard time putting up with Claire Danes. Other than that, I don't know how they can make a whole series out of it. Maybe a season or two?

I missed in last nights episode
who called the terrorist professor guy's wife. I assume they are putting in a "mole" element to the story? Or was someone watching the watchers?
In all it wasn't a good enough episode for me to rewind and find out the above.

I think the show looks good and has great potential but I can't get over the lead, Damian Lewis. I completely disagree with the OP.

Lewis looks like a grown up kid. I don't mean that obvious, that all adults were children once. What I mean is he literally looks like a 16 year old ginger that's in a bigger body. He is completely not convincing as some mastermind hidden Al Qaeda operative who's going to pull off some major attack.

How dare you speak that way about Major Winters!

That part definitely threw me for a loop. I would imagine it's pretty inefficient to have a
terrorist track another terrorist 24/7 so I think your mole element is a good theory. Also, any "wild twist" theories? I have a prediction for a twist that Brody is just pretending to be turned and will later foil the attack.

Putting up with Claire Danes? She's the best part.

Also confused about how they tipped of that guys wife. No theory, we'll find out. As for Brody, they're going a good job at making him confusing. Clearly wacky but the way he interacted with Danes' character at the end was interesting.

mother of fuck I love this show

polygraphs are bogus but Brody getting an inkling that they know about him

yes!

Winters turned evil? noooooooooooo 😱

That said, I just watched a preview and... I'm sold. Think Showtime has it on VOD? On our cable, we have access to VOD categories for the premium channels (and unlimited access if a subscriber to said premium channel).

I'm fairly confident it's not directly managed by my cable company, those assholes wouldn't offer anything until everyone else had it (local group has the local media almost completely locked down. Anyone familiar with the Block media family?)

Anyone else thought it was pretty stupid
to allow Brody in the same room as his torturer?
I realize the writers of the show did it on purpose to spur some action, but give me a break!

There are some shows or movies that you watch, you can't help by wonder why on earth the characters did it? Our reality dictates certain actions, and we intuitively know the answers. But when someone does something outrageously stupid, you are ready to punch them in the face.

When Brody wanted to see his guard
, I already knew what is going to happen. Up to this moment, this was the best most suspenseful episode. Then it got ruined. I don't believe that in the real intelligence community they would have made such a sloppy mistake.

What do you think?

This. I was fine with this program until that last episode. The writers are just running out of ideas. I really like Claire Dane's acting (she's about the only one who is not stiff), but the plot lines get increasingly unbelievable. In an attempt to get an entire season out of material that could actually fill about 4 hrs., they have watered this series down to just about nothing. Too bad; it had potential.
