I haven't ever used a flat cable. I wouldn't bend it tight around the 90's either.

STP isn't required. If you plan on running side by side with high voltage power then STP would take hurt.

There IS a point at which the HDMI cable will have to run in front of an oven and fridge.

Either way still will work ok. the power and ether net aren't running side by side for a bit, but you know....STP won't hurt if you're worried
