Recently setup a wireless network in my home:
Belkin wireless G Plus MIMO Router
p/c #1 - Hardwired to router - WinXP Professional
p/c #2 - Belkin wireless G+ card - WinXP Home
The problem is that I cannot access and/or see the other p/c in my workgroup (HOME). For instance, when I am on #2 and click on My Network Places in the 'Local Network' section it only lists #2. If I click on 'View Workgroup Computers' it displays both #1 and #2 but if I attempt to open #1 I get the message:
"#1 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The network path was not found. - OK
I also checked the Event Viewer of both p/c's and found this entry in the System section:
Product: Windows Operating System
ID: 8003
Source: MRxSmb
Version: 5.0
Symbolic Name: EVENT_BOWSER_OTHER_MASTER_ON_NET
Message: The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer %2
Of course the link in the message that brings you to the Microsoft Support Center offered no resolution, at least none that I could see.
Both p/c's can reach the internet with no problem and both have 'shared' folders that should be visible to each other. This is driving bonkers.....HELP!
EDIT - Saw the post from Jedi after I posted - very similar - but couldn't access the www.ezlan site (???) is that me or the site?...Anyone?
