As you can see from the Windows XP Comparison Guide you are incorrect. Windows Updates have nothing to do with the feutures each of them have.

Uhhh ... completely wrong. Windows Update doesn't add any of Pro's features to Home.

That statement almost has to be a feeble attempt at a practical joke. 😕

The *only* thing I can think of is that SP2 removes the "Home" and "Professional" labels from the startup splash screen. Maybe that's what he's referring to?
 
WOW, that comment reminds me of one almost as good.

I was once told by a guy in the early 90's that DOS had all of the capabilities of Win3.1 because Win3.1 was written to run on top of it, therefore DOS MUST have all of those capabilities built into it already, so why do we need Windows aside from the pretty graphics. lmao I had no answer to his failed logic. I was speechless.
