On the Pioneer. You have were you can select your different setting. Like Movie, Music, Expanded, etc. You should have on that say 5 channel stereo or 6 channel stereo.

Ahh yes, ive tried all of those. No good.

So with the five channel or six channel stereo and lets say the FM tunded you still have nothing coming out of the surrounds? On the remote press either the left or right arrow surrounding the enter key. Does is show on the display of the rec what size your speakers are?

Nope, doesn't change a thing when I hit those keys.
