Anyone here a concrete and/or building expert?

Had some of my post tension cable exposed (see pic).

I've been told that this is an easy fix - just get a grease cap to put over the end of the cap and then fill it with quick concrete/epoxy.

Does that sound right?

If so, here is my problem... where the hell do I buy a "grease cap" and what is the right one? Quick searches on Amazon and Home Depot have just confused me....

I've never seen a post tension slab for residential, you must be on some seriously shitty ground.
I don't know about the grease cap, but it would be easy to squirt some simpson epoxy on there and smooth it out with a finger.

That whole slab edge is ugly.

I'd epoxy the rod end then parge coat the whole damn thing with polymeric mortar. You might not care how it looks though...

So is there a basement under that slab ?

As iRONic said, epoxy over the ends then a coat of mortar to hide them.

I am stupid when it comes to construction/home maintenance shit. Mind linking me to a specific product you mean on HomeDepot when you say epoxy? Just any super glue or something?

post tension slabs for res is actually quite common. its very cheap compared to a real foundation with stem walls, footers and rebar.

It's basically the defacto construction method here in SoCal....and I assume every other warm weather area.

This.
There may be better products available, that just happens to be one I use a lot.
