So can I call any alarm dealer like adt simple safe or anyone i want.can someone point me in the right direction.
thanks

Call these people. You will be throwing your money away with the big boys like ADT.

http://www.alarmrelay.com/

They've been monitoring mine for close to a decade.

Once you're set up and being monitored, call your insurer to see if you are eligible for a discount on your insurance.

Also get a dropcam.com to monitor your house. I have fake adt stickers from eBay and two dropcams. Love them. If you don't want real cams get a couple of fake dummy cams from amazon for virtually no money.

If you do get fake cams just make sure that the company that makes them actually does make real ones too. A robber will see it and just laugh, if the company that makes the fake cams only makes that because they'll know they're fake.

Though if you're going to mount something like that on your house may as well get a real one. I'd like to put cameras around the house mostly just for the coolness factor of being able to see my yard from anywhere, but I also don't want to make it look like I'm paranoid. I wish they made cameras that are the same size as a cell phone camera, you could just hide it in the soffits.

You can't beat that, alarmrelay $8.95 a month or $142.40 for the year what exactly do you get.
Also the panel on the wall was put in by ADT and they want $49.00 a month. So with the information from this forum and google I hope I can figure which alarm system to use.
Someone told me if you get it hooked up to your phone line they can cut it and that disarms it,is that true.
Thank you all for your help.

You need to call Alarm Relay to make certain they can work with your ADT system. Hopefully, they don't have some proprietary reporting system coded into it. Which, frankly, wouldn't surprise me. So cross your fingers.

You get 24/7 monitoring. The service central stations provide is pretty much the same across the board. They will contact the Police or Fire department as needed as well as yourself, friends or relatives based on what you tell them to do. For example, we have many, many power outages and I have instructed them not to call me when they occur.

Yes, they can cut your phone line. I am using mine with VOIP provided by Comcast and they can cut that line too. A cellular backup is the only sure way to ensure protection short of a catastrophic breakdown of our infrastructure.
