Home security camera system - Any suggestions?

Anyone here ever install one out of the box? I'm looking at a few of the 8 to 16 camera setups sold at Frys/Best Buy and Amazon. All seem to be the same but I have NO idea.

Personally I don't see any reason why you would need any special camera to take a picture of a home security system. Anything that will take a picture will take a picture of a security system. You're not trying to take a picture of a security system in your neighbor's house are you.
