I've been looking to hook up my pc to a reasonably sounding microphone to record audio for songs that i've been producing on my computer and I need suggestions on these 2 M-audio devices

1) Fast Track USB Hub

2)FireWire Solo box

Has any one used these devices, if not where would a place for suggestions on this?

Thanks for reading.

I haven't tried either of those products, but I use an Echo MiaMIDI for recording and it is great.

thanks for the suggestion, but after looking at them none of their products have a microphone input (XLR)

300 is a bit much for my budget, only 17. On their website they also had the Presonus Inspire 1394 for about 200$. Is that any good?

It should be OK if the i/o meets your requirements. I don't have experience with that model but I'm sure it's good. 🙂
