zero. Usually the hosts will be making money anyway. Why would you give them more?
Simple
He keeps the beer and food that i brought over..
Won 1st ($1000) in a 30player home poker tourny.
What's the norm to tip the host?
Whatever you want, but about $50 seems fair if he's not pulling in anything otherwise. How did everyone pay for the beer/food?
What is wrong with ATOT and tipping? Why would you even consider tipping this person?
Hosts don't get tipped. Poker tourneys are for fun, not profit. Do you tip hosts of parties?
What was the buy in? How many places did it pay, and what were the pay-outs? If you guys each bought in for $50, and he paid 3 places ( Such as $1,000, $300, and $200), then he didn't make anything on it. Figure it out. If he took a cut, then I wouldn't tip him at all. If he did not rake any $, then I would tip him $25-50 for food, drinks, etc... (I would tip the host something whether I won or not - If he provided all of the drinks and snacks).
Bob
I'd give him $100.
$850 is still a great profit and you are sure to get invited back.
Nothing. Don't Tip anyone. Unless something is well above and beyond they Job Description.
Hi Halbeard!

Typical ATOT no class children in this thread. I never tip less than 20%, period. If the person deserves a tip, they deserve 20% or more. Anything less is just an insult.
