Home office/computer room

Ok...I need your guys/gals input on this. My wife and I will be having a baby soon, and I was forced to give up my computer room/home office for the babys room. Even though i don't see why a newborn needs a 20ftX18ft bedroom, my wife insisted (we all know never to argue extensively with a pregnant woman!). So, I am taking on the task of moving/rebuilding my computer room in our other spare bedroom thats 18ftX16ft in size. Part of the agreement I made with my wife was that I could go all out in furnishing the room (ie: plasma tv, new desks, bookshelves, tables, mini-fridge, etc.) and of course a new PC or two. The problem is I don't know where to search for design ideas. Do any of you know where on the net i can search for computer room design ideas and for furniture, etc. My design skills are non-existant, so any guidance you all could give me for where i can get some ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Im was in the same boat as you. Luckily, my prego wife gave me permission to turn the garage into my office. But my mouth is still open on the plasma TV and couple new PC's. Damn i need to do what you are doing, i have to re budget to buy myself a 5200 video card and hope i dont mess myself up too bad.

Im was in the same boat as you. Luckily, my prego wife gave me permission to turn the garage into my office. But my mouth is still open on the plasma TV and couple new PC's. Damn i need to do what you are doing, i have to re budget to buy myself a 5200 video card and hope i dont mess myself up too bad.

Thanks. Well Im not doing anything that great. My wife and I are stationed here in hawaii (she is an army nurse), and I work full time in hardware sales/tech at compusa, while going back to college full time. So in our situation, Army pays our rent, utilities, food allowance, etc. So thats the sole reason I can afford such a expensive hobby. Once shes out of the military in another 3 years and we move back to the mainland and start paying rent, its gonna be a WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY!!!

I think you got the better end of the deal.
I'd just go look around at some of the office stores and see what you like.
Are you going to get a plasma for your computer display?

You could always get a couch, hang the plasma on the wall, and go wireless.
I can't imagine playing Battlefield 1942 on a 52" plasma. Wow.
