What is a GOOD 10mbps model? Has anyone tried these networks.. is the ping good?
Do I have to use the proxy that comes with the card? A proxy that is 100% transparent to the clients is a MUST, I want to be able to play UT and other games over the internet...

Oh, and the card has to work with Windows 2000, cause that's what I have...

2 computers, and I mean through the phone line with a Phone network card. They're like DSL, in a way.. they don't use the regular portion of the line.

Well, I'm using the Diamond HomeFree 10mb version and it works great! Haven't really benchmarked the speed or anything. I have my computer setup with the cable modem and 2 nics. The other computer accesses the internet without a hitch and at good speeds.

i've set up the linksys home networking kit before and it seemed to work fine, although the internet lanbridge software that came with it really sucked a$$. just use windows internet sharing or sygate.
