What's the best hub with 4,5, or 8 ports with 100Mbits (Fast Ethernet)?
Also the same for nic's with 100Mbits support.

I really like smc. Good warranty, Cheap and good performance. I've used the nic's, switch's and routers without any problems.
 
For my home network I am using ALL Netgear products. All the cards are duel speed, including the PCMCIA card, and the Hub is a 4 port duel speed.

At school out school network uses ALL Intel, apart from the extension hubs which range from the same Hub as mine to Linksys...

Personally I would got for Netgear. Its not too expensive and does the job well IMHO.
