I've been kicking around a home NAS device and wondering if anyone has one they are using and can recommend for or against. I looked through the history and there's not a lot of actual info out there. I'm not interested in setting up an old computer.

Preferably, I'd like something with RAID 1 capability. Basically I'm going to use it for music and picture storage. I plan to stream the music to my receiver eventually.
 
I would stay away from Buffalo's Terastation. My experience with them is slow and not very reliable. In fact, I am planning on building my own using FreeNAS.
