Hot deal on that miter saw, but shipping plus tax makes it a slim savings over Amazon's power tool sale and my experience with HD.com has been mostly negative.

The dewalt is a good deal for those that don't need a miter saw with a slide. If i it had a slide i would be buying it now.

Harbor Freight has the compound sliding for $99, and there is a 20% coupon applicable through 2-2.

I would shy away from Chicago made in China...

but the Dewalt is HOT at that price.

I have the HF one - it's important to note that it slides - and I'm sure it's nowhere near as powerful or precise as the Dewalt.

That said, it suits my needs fine and will probably live as long as I do.

The Dewalt, which is probably made in China too, would have been about $150 after shipping and tax. You can pick up a comparable Porter-Cable miter saw with laser guide from Amazon for $20 more.
