Home Depot: $39 Werner 6 ft. Fiberglass Step Ladder with 225 lb. Load Capacity with

Lovely, BUT it has 225LB load capacity which might be too low for some.

Actual capacity is far above the safety rating. Companies down-rate for liability reasons. The real capacity is probably almost double that 225lb.

Thanks for posting this. My wife and I are building a covered deck in the back of the house, and we will need another ladder to get the roof joist into place.

Lowes price matches. So I am going to print this out and bring the sale paper to lowes.

2nd on the real capacity. They figure most people just think "I weigh less than that" and then haul how many pounds of gear up the ladder with them. Then on top of that is the safety buffer.

Ladders with higher load ratings don't wobble as much.
