I PMed my "source" lastnight.
Here is the deal, 6 years ago he opened up some receivers he had for review and noticed that the Marantz and Carver were Pioneers.
So what? Well, it probably happens a lot. IMHO, it is likely that Yamaha and Pioneer make most of recievers out there.
 
I like Yamaha myself...
but of your newly updated choices..I'd go with either Outlaw, followed by Onkyo.
H/K is really friggin ugly and Denon's remote sucks.

And things change a lt in 6 years, but I know for a fact that a lot of RCA receivers are rebadged Pioneers....and look at TV's; doesn't Matsushita make Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba, and quite a few others? How much different could their internals be from TV's in the same size? Probably not much different at all 🙂
