Living in Tornado alley, Ive enjoyed the rather tame weather we've had. Its June and we have not even broken 100 yet in DFW. Getting lots of soaking rain and enjoing cool nights in the 60s. I like to leave my windows open at night and enjoy the cool breezes.

That being said, we have been having earthquakes around here! There is a fault line that runs under Arlington TX right in the middle of DFW. In the nearly 40 years Ive been here I dont ever remember earthquakes. Some blame it on all the gas well drilling of the Barnett Shale.

When I left Portland and moved back to DC I thought I'd left behind the insane weather, but it seems we've been hit unusually hard this spring.
Thought maybe I had brought the demon rain with me but it would seem you guys are still getting crapped on by Zeus.
Kinda makes me feel warm and evil all over.

Damn OP I wish I was a little farther north to see that. We just had a couple claps of thunder and flashes of lightening and lots of rain. I love big storms.

LOL, you think Portland has insane weather? You're... well, insane.

Portland has very, very mild weather in general. We get our wind and rain storms, but tornados and severe thunderstorms are definitely not the norm.

Was that the same storm that hit SF yesterday and made it's way up to Sacramento last night? It was like nonstop lighting and thunder, I swore it was daytime outside. I'd never heard such nonstop thunder before in my life.

Eh - pretty much was nothing more than a smidgen of high winds [knocked down a few tree limbs and threw around a lot of leaves and crap on the ground] coupled with a few zaps from the sky. As a former resident of the Midwest [Kansas City]- this was mild...
