To all the thread crappers, SAT means almost NOTHING to most colleges that aren't full of stuck up rich pricks. Colleges with common sense understand how much bullsh!t the SAT and ACT are. If you decide to take it again, which can't hurt, do it for your own self-satisfaction and not the elitist nerds here giving you sh!t. Make sure you keep your GPA high and take AP/advanced classes and you'll be fine.
you're right, from what I've seen first hand CSU's and UC's really don't give a fvck about SAT's. An outstanding score can help a lot and a mediocre score can hurt, but otherwise I think it's completely useless. That's a shame, because with my grades I was depending on my SAT score to get me into where I wanted to go. Didn't happen...

Congratulations. You're dumb.

That's what I was going to say! Except I only got a 1270 on my SAT's, only took 'em once cuz I don't plan to go to college. I probably would have spelled "You're" right, but I can't guarantee I would have capitalized it.

You and your 1100 probably would have said "your". Sheesh 🙂

😉
I was just being a prick. I don't know what a good or bad score on those kind of tests are. I never did any of that college prep crap in high school, as I really had no intention of ever going past school. I hated school, and abhorred the idea of an additional four or more years of it.

congratulations on your success in life.

exactly, as i already mentioned extracurricular activities + a good GPA in addition to good recommendation letters are what most colleges care for.... SAT scores doesn't mean sh!t unless you score 1500 or 800....

If you think college is required for success in life, then you're a bigger fool than those who haven't attended college. College is one tool among many.

You and me both dude!

I got a 1270, I shoulda got higher. I swear to god I didn't get 1 math question wrong, and I only left 1 blank cuz NONE OF THE ANSWERS WORKED. I'm good at math, i got like a 710 on the math section though which is lame. It was more of just a technicality so I knew how wlel i could do and I'd have some ammo agaist my douche friends who give me crap for not wanting to go to college. Most of my friends did better than me though 🙁

1000 is technically average, but from what I've seen, if you can speak english and read a little you're above average in this country, so you should get at least a 1270. I'm pretty convinced if I took it 3 times without any prep (didnt study the 1st time), I could get 1400 or more. Not bad for a school hater with no hopes for further education 🙂
